Location

The wilderness enriched coastal location of Hopetoun is located in the Shire of Ravensthorpe -
Lat: 33° 94' S and Long: 120° 11' E.

Hopetoun’s annual rainfall is around 500 millimetres (20 inches) and average temperatures are between 15°C and 28°C in Summer, 8°C and 18°C in Winter.

The growing local economy is based on primary production – wheat, oats, barley, lupins, canola, field peas, beans, wool, cattle, sheep, prime lamb – and the mining of nickel concentrate, gypsum, cobalt (byproduct) and copper (byproduct). Other industries include honey, goats, fish, aquaculture (yabbies), wildflowers and tourism.

All your personal and recreational needs are catered for between the localities of Hopetoun and Ravensthorpe. Schools, banking, postal and health services. We have a General Practitioner residing in the area in addition to the 14 bed Ravensthorpe Hospital.
